The vines are implanted on the hillside of the Vallée de la Marne . The unique soils of this area are mainly clay-limestone (e.g. marl). A champagne is not only determined by the soils, but also by the grape varieties. . Pinot noir (51%), Pinot meunier (34%) and Chardonnay (15%) are our main grape varieties that contribute to the excellence of our champagnes. Combining soils and grape varieties provide well-balanced wines with complexity and an attracting bouquet of aromas.

Champagne Florence Duchêne has improved the work of the ancestors but has kept traditions. Since 2005, we have been working in sustainability. Our observation of the nature gives us the chance to learn more about nature and biodiversity. Moreover, the network Viticoncept, an independent consultant provides us an accurate observation of the vineyard.

During harvest, one is selecting the best grapes to produce our champagnes. This accurate selection depends on the quality of the grapes and the weather forecast throughout the year. We wish to express the excellence of our terroir as well.

After selecting ripe grapes, the sanitary conditions will also determine vinifications, frequently from indigenous yeasts.
